was born in the Czech Republic in the city of Znojmo, where he has lived most of his life. Married, father of 4 children. A self-taught photographer who, during his photographic journey, found himself mostly in the themes of long-term social document. Themes from life in the countryside such as traditional slaughterhouses, fish catches, everyday life in the village, the relationship between man and dog and especially life in the largest Czech circus, Circus Humberto, which he has been photographing for 17 years. Zdeněk is the holder of nine awards in the Czech Press Photo competition, and also won two Grand Prizes for photographs taken with a mobile phone. The author attributes his greatest photographic progress to the Week of Life project. When, in the form of a photographic diary (9 photos a day for one week), he captured everyday life around him for 5 years.
