From a dark forest edge in the Caribbean part of Guatemala I spent hours to arrive at this final photo. By focusing on a dark background (the edge of the forest) and moving continuously to get the sun's rays in the right place, waiting for this hummingbird to fly through the light, hovering characteristically still, and then shooting so that the beat of its wings is visible on the photo.
