“Liminal” explores the threshold where certainty gives way to possibility. Each image begins at the meeting of sea and sky along the east coast of New Zealand, where horizons appear, dissolve and re-form as light, cloud and water continually reshape one another. These are places that resist fixed boundaries. They exist in transition. Rather than recording a single moment, the photographs gather many moments into one. Time accumulates, colours shift and textures emerge, revealing patterns that are present but rarely seen. The resulting images move beyond description towards sensation, inviting viewers to linger in ambiguity rather than resolve it. For me, liminal spaces are places of quiet transformation. They remind us that nature is never static, that every boundary is provisional, and that beauty often resides in uncertainty. They speak of wonder, but also of a changing world whose rhythms are becoming increasingly fragile.
