Wherever you are

With immense and unwavering affection, I share a photo of my dog, a gorgeous female Belgian Shepherd Groenendael: her name was Musa! Musa was my wonderful four-legged friend who accompanied me and my family for 10 wonderful years and, sadly, passed away in February 2022, after much suffering due to a health problem that did not prevent her from being the wonderful dog she had always been, both inside and out, ever since she entered our lives. Musa possessed an unshakeable poise, a powerfull beauty, a unique attentiveness and strength of spirit, all mixed with a sweetness, all qualities that shone clearly from her beautiful, luminous eyes. In this photo, we were in the countryside at sunset and, at this precise moment, she was sitting on the damp grass to rest. I'd my camera with me, and turning toward her, I found her gazing toward an unknown horizon with a serenity that was familiar to her but that, in that moment, was also filled with a profound meaning that only animals, deep within their psyches, can convey to the outside world. Thus, this photo becomes a living testimony to her beautiful soul which I still truly miss! As an Animal Photographer, my photographic research is based on the search for emotions through animal expressions, seeking to convey to the public the truest image of the subject's soul, so I'm more than happy to share the authentic gaze of my dear friend, hoping to inspire the same wonder and tenderness that I felt towards her in that moment. Thank you for everything, Musa, my sweet friend: you are within me and will always be present in my heart!
