There are places that seem to exist just beyond the edge of the real world. This image was made on a July rainy afternoon at Gourgue d'Asque in the French Pyrenees: a hidden stream threading through a cathedral of moss-draped trees, their branches arching overhead like the vaulted ceiling of a living forest. The water moves in silence through the green, worn smooth over stone and time, while mist drifts softly through the canopy opening at the far end, pulling the eye into a world that feels ancient, secret, and entirely its own. Every surface here breathes. Moss blankets the rocks, ferns unfurl from the banks, and the trees lean inward as if in quiet conversation. Standing at the water's edge, the sensation is less of discovering a landscape and more of stumbling into a story. Fairy Summer is an invitation to step in and not look back.
