Winter Intervals

Winter Interval brings together two photographs that approach winter not as spectacle, but as a state of suspension. In the first image, a few bare branches emerge from an undisturbed field of snow, their dark lines echoed by elongated shadows that stretch across the luminous surface. In the second, frost-covered trees rise into an open sky, framed by heavier branches above, creating a quiet tension between enclosure and release. Seen together, the works describe an interval in both visual and emotional terms: a pause between presence and disappearance, weight and lightness, silence and structure. The diptych is grounded in reduction. Both images rely on a sparse vocabulary of line, tone, and space, allowing the smallest formal relationships to become significant.
