This photo was taken at the Bioparc, in Geneva, a center who welcomes and treats animals and whose missions are the conservation, research, environmental sensibilisation and animal assisted-therapy. Two lynxes live at the park, Max and his son, Moritz. They were born in captivity and were living with an individual. Their living conditions didn't meet the standards for a good quality of life and the bioparc welcomed them in 2021. When i was passing by outside their territory, I saw only one of them, I could not say which one, the father or the son, generational difference seems undetectable for the untrained eye. He kept a distance, behind the trees, as if he wanted discretion and privacy. I took my camera, searched for him. Photographing him, in this light, seemed difficult. I took a shot, uncertain of the result. Both father and son seem to be well taken care of by the park's team, who are devoted to the animals. But, when I saw his photo, his look imprinted in my camera, I just kept thinking: Is he nostalgic ? Is he thinking of his ancestors running wild in the forest ? Does he miss his wilderness ?
