This image was made from our house which is in the foothills of the Southern Alps in South Island New Zealand. We have some beautiful hills right behind the house and they are often (as in many, many times a day) visited by a couple of harrier hawks. I opted to use intentional camera movement (ICM) to increase the feeling and impact of the landscape. I also deliberately left the telegraph poles in the completed image because I like the hint of discord they produce within such a perfect example of nature.
