Close to the French-German border at the village of Obersteinbach. There on the hillside sits this beautiful rock formation. After a short climb in near darkness, the sunrise did not seem promising. However, while the sun rose above the horizon, fog filled the valley and the sun peered shortly between the clouds. This gave me the perfect lighting conditions to take this photograph. The 180° multi-shot panorama gives a unique and beautiful perspective.
