In eastern Taiwan, during the annual Lantern Festival, the night sky over Taitung City bursts into brilliance as fireworks and firecrackers echo through the streets. This enduring tradition, known as the Bombing of Master Han Dan, has thrived for over six decades. What moves me most about this ritual are the unsung heroes. These brave people step forward to embody Master Han Dan, enduring the storm of firecrackers with courage. Some take on this role to fulfill a vow, while others do so to pray for their families' health. Their stories behind actions offer a profound testament to faith.
