Three men and their dogs lounging at the steps of a church in Matera, Italy. Each man's unique character and life story is reflected in his furry companion. The dogs, lying beside their owners, exude a sense of calmness which seems to be infectious to the men. In the midst of this moment, something in the distance has caught the attention of the men, causing them all to look in the same direction. However, their dogs remain relaxed, indicating that the men are safe and free to enjoy the peace of the hot summer day.
