In Canada, especially in Quebec, there are several dairy farms. To feed their cows in winter, they need to store a large quantity of dried hay. Over the last two decades, white plastic bags protecting hay bales have become more frequent. They are piled in many ways, each pile having its own personality: height, size, alignement, distribution, methodic or chaotic stackings, numbered bales or not, etc. This series highlights various hay ball mounds characters. I photographed these mounds under grey skies to emphasize their whiteness, shape, and size.
