Nature photography typically showcases the beauty of the world around us. Most nature photographs are taken in the beautiful light of sunrise or sunset, highlighting the extraordinary colors and diversity of animals and plants. We forget that nature can also be "brutal." We forget that nature has its own laws and that every animal must eat. While studying biology, I never imagined I would witness wolves hunting a deer with my own eyes. It was both a fascinating and terrifying experience. I took the photograph in a remote part of the Bieszczady Mountains.
