Similar to how darkness conceals distant objects in obscurity, mist does the same, but in a different way - in light. The fog serves as an ideal neutral photography background. When it blankets the mirror-like surface of the water, it evokes a serene sense of infinity, blurring the line between where the air meets the water. A gentle warm toning is applied over the image to lighten the blacks and emphasize the effect of the mist.
