“Yellowbird at 100 Years Old, Taos, New Mexico” is from my book, “One Of A Kind by Donald Graham”. The series of photographs examine the diversity and complexity of the human experience through portraiture. The series focuses on finding beauty in character and recognizing uniqueness and the imperfections in the human spirit that make it whole, while honoring my conviction that there is a truth at the heart of humanity that can be captured with a camera. Yellowbird is a Native American elder of the Taos Pueblo and was the subject of a well known book by Frank Waters, "The Who Killed The Deer".
